Article Publication and Editorial Guidelines
ArticleNook.com aims to provide publishers and readers with high quality, original content. To avoid delays or having your article declined, please ensure that your articles meet the below guidelines:
Content
- If you submit to ArticleNook you MAY NOT submit the same content to another directory
- Must be an original article that you wrote (ie. not copied or previously published.
- Articles cannot include plagiarized material from any other person or source. You must own 100% of the article you publish.
- Please not that we do not accept Press releases as articles.
- We do not accept articles dealing with pornography or promoting sexually explicit websites.
- Do not include any affiliate program links.
- Content spamming will result in all that members content being deleted and banning of the user withouit discussion.
- Submit your article to one category only. While Articles could be submitted to several categories, we consider this to be spamming and it will only damage YOUR articles value.
- Multiple submissions of the same article will not only result in all the articles being removed, but may also lead to the author being suspended should we consider them to be abusing our system.
- Must not include Affiliate Links in your Article or Author Bio
- Your URL Links should point to a web page (on your website) where you have your Affiliate Links
- You may include up to 3 URL hyperlinks in an Article.
- You may include up to 3 URL hyperlinks in your Author Bio
- Article Title: maximum of 150 characters. (Recommended up to 80 chars for search engines better indexing your articles). Do not use only capital letters as search engines (and us) will consider this "shouting" and spam orientated!
- Your author name should not appear in the title of the article.
- Article Body: minimum of 275 words and a maximum length of 1500 words, consider spliting into consecutive articles if the content is more than an average page in length. HTML tags allowing in the body of the article are: Break, bold, paragraph, italic and underline.
- Article Summary: Every article must have an article summary (up to 200 characters). The purpose of the article summary is to give the reader a quick overview of your article. HTML tags are not allowed within the summary. You can only place HTML tags in the body of your article and in your Author Bio.
- Article Keywords: Please select up to 15 highly relevant keywords that are separated by a comma. Non-relevant keywords will be removed.
- Author Bio : All contact information should appear only in the Author’s Bio
- Articles that are advertisements, or appear to be advertisements, will be considered spam and will not be approved for publication.
Formatting
- Article Title: A maximum of 150 characters and minimum of 2 words. (We recommend using up to 80 characters for best search engine results). Do not use ALL CAPS. Do not have the name of your company or website in the title. Your author name should not appear in the title.
- Article Body: A minimum of 250 words and a maximum length of 12,000 characters. The following HTML tags are allowed within the body of the article: <br />, <p>, <b>, <i>, <u> and <a href>.
- Author name: Please do not user your website as the author name and not within the Article Title.
- Avoid using hard breaks in your article, only at the end of a paragraph.
- Avoid overusing Bold, italicize, or underline. Highlight only text that needs to be emphasized.
- Break your article up with paragraph breaks to make your content readable and scanable by your reader.
Illegal/Objectionable subject matter
- Family Safe Content Only: We do not allow articles on pornography, escort services, sex toys, violence, illegal subjects (such as movie downloads), potentially dangerous information, or hate speech. This includes both written and visual material. This is by no means an exhaustive list, and ArticleNook reserves the right to reject any article.
- Gambling : Articles should not link to or promote online gambling sites.
