The Rough Guide on How to embed a YouTube Movie into an Article NOOK Article
If pictures say a thousand words - Movies say it BETTER and can really bring an article to life. Lets say you want to explain something that requires you to demonstrate clearly by DOING. Or, maybe it is an except of an interview - movies can really liven up an article. Not only that - but the webmaster has a lively, intersting and engaging piece of content on their site. Just make sure you have all rights to the Movie, or that it is one of your own
The System and Article Editor is about to be upgraded to make Media embedding easier, with just a button click. But until then, here's the "long way" to make sure it works properly.
Get the YouTube Embed Code Here - Please edit the URL for the YouTube video and adjust the width if you need (BUT - remember, your article must still look good in most blogs or webpages, don't oversize.
The Rules of Embedding YouTube in Article NOOK Articles :
- You must have the RIGHTS to the Youtube video you will embed.
- Get the video URL (NOT THE EMBED CODE) from Youtube.
- Write your article as your normally would and make sure it adheres to our editorial guidelines
- Copy the YouTube Code above to Notepad or similar.
- Edit the YouTube URL, edit the width & height (we advise not to), then copy the new code
- Click the HTML button on the Toolbar
- Paste in the updated YouTube Code into the article
- Note : Place the Code towards the bottom of the article or it may be pushed down by our Google adverts (how we keep your article submissions free)
- Save the article as a Draft and then Preview your work.
- When ready, press Publish and we will review your work
Having a YouTube video can really make an article "POP" and can dramatically improve the appeal of an article. Webmasters get a great article, an engaging unique webpage and even better, they dont have to worry about file uploads.
